Renault Car Warranty Quote

Safeguard your finances with a Renault car warranty, ensuring that you're covered for any labour or parts expenses for your vehicle.

In 1899, Louis, Marcel, and Fernand Renault founded a car company that bore their name. Today, that same company is the third-largest automobile producer in Europe. From tractors to tanks, buses to coaches, Renault made just about every conceivable land vehicle in its early days, before focusing solely on the cars and vans we all know and love.

Given its prominent standing in the automotive industry, it's no wonder Renault consistently delivers exceptional quality across its wide array of vehicles. However, you'll feel much more at ease after securing an extended Renault warranty through MotorEasy. Renault reliability: common Renault repairs

The MotorEasy Reliability Index measures the dependability of a car, as an average of the frequency and cost of repairs for over 1,200 models. It reveals some of the hidden costs of ownership, as well as the likelihood of something going wrong. Each model is given a reliability score ranging from -100 (red), for a high frequency and/or high cost of repair, through to +100 (green), where there is a low frequency and cost of repair.

The index also includes model-specific data on:

  • The typical repairs needed for each model, including the percentage of claims for engine, gearbox, electrical system, suspension, braking system and fuel system repairs
  • Common repairs you would be covered for with a Renault warranty
  • The average cost for each of the above types of repairs

Renault Warranty FAQs

How long is a Renault warranty?

A Renault extended warranty lasts for 12 months and you can only take out cover if your car has less than 100,000 miles on the clock. You can pay a one-off yearly payment. Or you can pay by direct debit.

New car warranties are a touch more complicated but we’ll try and make it easy.
If your car was registered:

  • up to & including 31st Jan 2018 - 4 years/100,000 miles
  • 1st Feb 2018 - 17th Dec 2019 - 3 years/60,000 miles
  • after 18th December 2019 - 5 years/100,000 miles

On all of those, the first 2 years' mileage allowance is unlimited.

What does a Renault warranty cover?

Renault Extended Warranty covers the cost of parts and labour in the event of a mechanical or electrical failure of the covered components up to the claims limit of the policy. The car must be no more than 10 years old & have covered less than 100,000 miles
This policy does not cover wear & tear. Unlike a MotorEasy extended warranty.

A MotorEasy Renault warranty covers all the same things as a Renault extended warranty but with the addition of:

  • Wear & Tear cover - not covered by a Renault extended warranty
  • Overheating failures
  • Any vehicle up to 120,000 miles or 12 years of age
  • To arrange a more extensive & less expensive warranty for your car, just fill in our really simple Renault Extended Warranty form

When did Renault 4 year warranty start?

Renault introduced their 4 year standard warranty cover in 2012. They ended it at the end of January 2018 when they reverted to a 3 year warranty, it was changed again in December 2019.

Does Renault's Warranty include breakdown cover?

An extended warranty from Renault does not include breakdown as standard. A new car warranty has 3 years of breakdown cover as standard.

Can you get a Renault warranty for a used car?

If you bought your used Renault from a Renault main dealer you’ll have received a minimum 12 month warranty.

NB - Sometimes this means adding to what is remaining to the original warranty. You don’t get 12 months on top of the original warranty.

We can provide you with MotorEasy extended Renault warranty cover as long as your car has fewer than 120,000 miles on the clock.

You’ll not only get the peace of mind that comes with our more extensive warranty cover but also these additional benefits that make your life easier:

  • A free digital logbook in your MotorEasy account with useful date reminders (such as service and MOT dates)and access to special MotorEasy discounts
  • Our monitored repair process tracks your progress and ensures work is completed to our agreed high standard
  • You're never out of pocket - We pay network garages directly
  • Access our network of 10,000 garages nationwide
  • 24/7 online bookings
